CHRIS RUTTEN BLOODSTOCK
Chris Rutten Bloodstock was formed following a successful 30 year career breaking-in and pre-training hundreds of horses in NZ. The natural shift for Chris was to apply his talent and experience to selecting bloodstock. Since then Chris has personally selected numerous successful horses including; YOURDEEL (NZ Champion 2 year old 2019 and Dual G1 Winner), VESPA (NZ Champion 2 year old 2014, G1 Winner, Karaka Million 2014 winner), SCOTT BASE (Karaka Million 3 year old winner 2018). This has been achieved purchasing only 1 or 2 horses a year, with a limited budget.
Chris's philosophy is that he wouldn't purchase a horse for a client that he wouldn't be happy to race himself, and that conformation and movement of the horse is paramount. After a lifetime spent working with horses including; showjumping at the highest national level, a short stint in the movie industry with 'Lord of the Rings' and three decades in the racing industry, Chris is a respected professional operating with the highest degree of honesty and integrity.

Chris attends all yearling sales in NZ and is available to attend international sales on request. He is available to personally inspect stock and purchase on your behalf, arrange airfreight, insurance and export of horses purchased if required. Chris has proven success finding the right horse and will provide a short list of horses he feels are most suitable for your budget.
